PRESSURE ON SCHOOLS

A primary school at Northbrook could only be built and funded by Hampshire County Council once there is clear demographic evidence of the need for 210 additional primary school places locally in Hampshire.  This is likely to take 12 - 15 years or longer.

Until then the responsibility for Northbrook's primary age children would fall on the existing schools of Bentley, Crondall, Binsted and Farnham to find places.

The long established relationship that Bentley school has with Froyle children would be put at risk, with Northbrook children potentially taking precedence over Froyle children due to its closer proximity within the catchment.

There is no provision for secondary schools, the neighbouring secondary school in Farnham is already oversubscribed.
